FINE Gael councillor Greg Conway has called on the Council to carry out a traffic survey at Thomastown Cross on the Kilmallock-Charleville road (L8572 and L8576) with a view to traffic calming.
Senior Executive Engineer Trevor McKechnie said at the Cappamore-Kilmallock District meeting that they will assess current speeds on the R515 and if the speed survey indicates excessive speeds, then he will determine the most appropriate course of action including seeking assistance from An Garda Síochána for enforcement of the default speed limit.
