Magical Creatures Exhibition – Treaty City Brewery. Ken Coleman is an Irish mixed media artist combining traditional painting, sculpture, 3D digital art, and photography to create innovative and visually striking work. His art blends fine art techniques with emerging technologies, offering a constant exploration of new visual possibilities. Runs until Saturday 2.

Johnny Sexton | A Munster Invitation – Lime Tree Theatre. In conversation with The Irish Times’ Denis Walsh. Following the national launch of his autobiography, Obsessed, this coming October, I.NY welcome Johnny Sexton to Limerick for an evening of conversation about his singular career, his rugby relationship with Munster, and a celebration of his connections across the province.

IFI Screenings: The Outrun – Belltable. Rona (Saoirse Ronan) has left her fast-paced life in London for Scotland’s far-flung Orkney Islands, hoping the stark change of scene will help in her battle with alcohol addiction. Nora Fingscheidt adapts Amy Liptrot’s memoir with a fine blend of naturalism, poeticism, and a nervous energy reminiscent of System Crasher (2019), her breakthrough film. Shuffling the chronology of Rona’s story allows us to view her journey from multiple perspectives, presenting an empathetic, three-dimensional portrayal of addition and hard-won recovery.
