NEWCASTLE West (NCW) are back-to-back Limerick Senior Camogie Champions following a snug 1-17 to 1-7 victory over Ahane in Cappamore.
With an awesome contribution of 1-8, full-forward Rebecca Delee was outstanding for NCW, while other lovely scores arrived through fellow inside forwards Iris Kennelly (0-4) and Roisín Ambrose, 0-3.
Niamh Brennan (0-6) top-scored for Ahane.
In the curtain-raiser, Brian Sexton’s impressive Croagh Kilfinny overcame neighbours Granagh Ballingarry 1-9 to 0-6.
The stand out performer was the winners’ full-forward Donna Kenny, who grabbed a brilliant 1-7 for a team captained by her sister Reba.
