Limerick Gardaí seize car with no insurance after finding driver had no licence

Limerick Gardai made the seizure earlier this month.

GARDAÍ from the Limerick Roads Policing Unit seized a vehicle after having detected that it had no insurance.

According to a post on the An Garda Síochána Limerick Facebook page, after carrying out further checks on the uninsured vehicle through the Garda Mobility App, Gardaí also discovered that the car’s driver did not have a driving licence.

Another check showed that the car’s tyres were “worn beyond the legal limit”.

“The vehicle was subsequently seized,” the online post said, with a court date for the driver to be set.
