
OVER โฌ15,000 in funding has been opened to Limerick community groups for global renewable energy projects.
รrsted announced the funding through their national Community Benefit Fund of โฌ15,300.
Among previous recipients are Mountcollins Development Association AFC and Tournafulla Community Centre.
Operating over 21 wind farms generating 373 MW of green electricity across the island of Ireland, รrsted has two active wind farms in Limerick, both in Knockawarriga near Abbeyfeale.
In 2024, a total of โฌ18,000 was awarded in Limerick for community initiatives by รrsted.
