ONE of the most iconic boy bands of the noughties Blue will be heading to Limerick this August to join an already jam-packed lineup at the annual Big Day Out. Blue joins a poptastic lineup including Peter Andre, Heather Small and DJ Sash for one of Ireland’s biggest 90s & 00s parties at TUS Gaelic Grounds Limerick on Saturday August 23.
Nearly 25 years on from the release of their debut single All Rise, Blue – comprising Duncan, Lee, Simon and Anthony – continue to enjoy immense success. With chart-topping hits such as One Love, If You Come Back and Breathe Easy, the group has sold over 15 million records worldwide, securing their place as one of the UK’s best-selling boy bands.
Ireland’s 90s & 00s extravaganza, The Big Day Out, has quickly earned its reputation as the ultimate pop celebration – and this year promises to be bigger than ever. Blue join a sensational line-up of nostalgic favourites including Peter Andre, Heather Small (the voice of M People), DJ Sash!, Ultrabeat, Whigfield, Tall Paul, N-Trance, and Mark McCabe.
Adding to the festivities, Al Gibbs will deliver an exclusive DJ set to mark the 20th anniversary of Ireland Euphoria – the country’s biggest-selling dance music album of all time. The event will be compered by none other than Mark McCabe – and fans can rest assured it’s highly likely he’ll treat the crowd to a live rendition of the iconic Maniac 2000.
