Club Limerick GAA Golf Classic at Castletroy

Club officers of Castletroy GC Declan O'Dรกlaigh, Eavan Martin, Bernard Callaghan and Rachel Maher, along with Club Limerick Chairman Seรกn Scanlon, Senior Hurling manager John Kiely and Senior Football manager Billy Lee were among those in attendance at the launch of the golf classic.

CASTLETROY GC will host the 15th annual Club Limerick GAA Classic on May 22 and 23.

With the help of Castletroy captains Declan Oโ€™Dรกlaigh and Eavan Martin, county senior managers John Kiely and Jimmy Lee, the classic was launched at the weekend.

โ€œWe are delighted to stage the classic once again,โ€ said Oโ€™Dรกlaigh. โ€œItโ€™s an honour for us to play our part with Limerick teams that have filled us with such great days out over recent years. And, I wish those teams the very best of luck over the coming weeks and months.โ€

Others present included club presidents Bernard Callaghan and Rachel Maher, a variety of sponsors such as Frank Hogan, Michael Gleeson, Ken Ring, Gary Howie, and Ken Ring.

Also in attendance were lead county players Cathal Oโ€™Neill, Adam English, and David Reidy.

โ€œThanks to so many who have supported our classic over the years, and letโ€™s hope, with Godโ€™s blessing, we can all look forward to a couple of great daysโ€™ weather-wise soon,โ€ said Scanlon. โ€œThe classic is a huge element of our fundraising each year, crucial to the support of our county teams.โ€
