Debut EP from Creigleach delivers maximum pressure for soundsystem-heavy spaces.

LIMERICK producer Creigleach drops his debut EP on May 8. The Cloch EP is the second release from local label, โ€˜For the Heads that Knowโ€™.

For the Heads that Know is a new label run curated by Limrockers 40hurtz and Godwin, focusing on any left of centre dance music ready for the dance floor. Creigleach is a Limerick stalwart of all things bass for the last five or so years with a few free parties under the name โ€œGarage Festโ€ (it was in a garage) and eventually the absolutely wild club night โ€œWankbankโ€.ย

On The Cloch EP, Creigleach distills that raw energy into a dark, bass-rich sound rooted in dubstepโ€™s golden ageโ€”think Skream, Benga, Cokiโ€”but twisted with a fresh, forward-thinking edge. Thereโ€™s zero filler here. The title track, โ€˜Clochโ€™, lures you in with eerie grime flutes before dropping into a weighty sub assault. โ€˜Shutterโ€™ slams out a driving four-to-the-floor rhythm, while โ€˜Freezinโ€™ snaps with nimble 2-step percussion, both crafted for maximum pressure in low-ceilinged, soundsystem-heavy spaces.

We say that this EP is essential philthy wob-dub fun for the dancefloor and well worth checking out. The Cloch EP drops on Thursday May 8 with the launch party set for Melody with support from Kule.
