Limerick’s Revival Press is set to celebrate the launch of ‘The Beauty in the Broken’, the eagerly awaited debut collection by acclaimed poet and storyteller Cora Peters.
The event will take place on Friday, April 25 at 7:30pm in The People’s Museum of Limerick, 2 Pery Square.
Described as a “true modern-day Bard,” Peters weaves a poignant tapestry of memory and place in her new collection, which explores her upbringing in 1960s Limerick.
Through a blend of poetry and prose, The Beauty in the Broken reflects on childhood, family ties, education, and the characters and locations that helped shape her singular voice.
“Peters captures Limerick – warts and all – with extraordinary humanity and insight,” says Dominic Taylor of Revival Press, who will publish the collection.
A stalwart of Limerick’s literary scene, Peters has long been a fixture at readings and festivals across Ireland, earning widespread respect for her heartfelt, evocative work.
