THE attention of Limerick City and County Council was drawn at the April monthly area meeting of the local authority to loose stones in the Square in Newcastle West.
At this month’s meeting, Fine Gael councillor Tom Ruddle called on the local authority to deal with the issue.
“These can be dangerous,” Cllr Ruddle told the Council executive.
The Council vowed to repair the loose concrete slabs as part of the routine maintenance contract.

“This is an ongoing measure for the Council throughout the year,” the meeting was told.
