
LIMERICK Celtics were 81-70 winners over Portlaoise Panthers in the Domino’s Men’s Division One final on Saturday (April 12) at the National Basketball Arena.
It completes an excellent season for Tony Hehir’s side having also won the President’s National Cup.
The pacy AJ Williams was the star of the show, the American finished with 30 points to claim the MVP (Most Valuable Player).

In the Women’s Division One Final, Celtics were beaten 67-58 by Cavan Eagles.
Celtics, however, were also in the winners’ enclosure after a first Development League Men’s title following an 84-72 win against Tralee Warriors.
Philip Kearney picked up the game MVP following his double-double of 19 points and 14 rebounds.
