Emerging artist Emily Panter is set to release her debut EP, Remember They Love You, on Friday April 18 on the newly formed Limerick record label SASP (created by T.A. Narrative). The collection blends childhood nostalgia with the challenges of adulthood, offering a poignant yet uplifting musical journey.
“These songs revolve around trying to navigate challenges with mental and physical health whilst growing up,” shares Panter. “But it’s not all darkness; there are moments of joy and persistence in the face of it all.”
Inspired by family road trips, rock pools, and the soundtracks of her youth, Panter’s songs explore themes of memory, mental health, and resilience. Tracks like ‘Burn Till Brand New’ evoke happy places we carry with us, while Birds and the Bees celebrates nature’s enduring spirit.
Musically, the EP merges dark, distorted guitar riffs with dreamy vocals, drawing influences from 80s legends like Duran Duran and Dire Straits, alongside 90s shoegaze and grunge.
