GARDAÍ in Limerick have arrested a man in connection with an ongoing organised organised crime investigation.
Gardaí this Thursday morning confirmed that the man, aged in his 30s, was arrested on Wednesday afternoon (April 9) in connection with investigations into an organised crime group “suspected of being involved in business and residential burglaries as well as the theft of high value vehicles”.
“The arrest was made in the course of an intelligence led operation by Gardaí from the Clare/Tipperary Division, with support from Region Support Units and the Garda Air Support Unit,” a statement from An Garda Síochána said.
The arrest was made under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007, and the man is currently being held at a Garda Station in the southern region
“This investigation remains ongoing,” the Garda statement said.
