A BLOSSOMING community effort in Limerick has been awarded funding to help its passion bloom.
The Meadowbrook Community Garden in Corbally was awarded €5,000 in funding from Community Foundation Ireland, in partnership with the National Parks and Wildlife Service, to support its biodiversity action plan and help protect and promote plants, wildlife, and habitats.
Meadowbrook resident Carla Nellis said the group were delighted to receive the funding for a second year in a row, explaining that this year’s funding will help the gorup host nature workshops with wildlife experts, buy new pollinator-friendly bulbs and plants, and conserve mature trees in the area.
