
THERE are 300 new jobs on the way for Limerick with the planned opening of the Bon Secours private hospital later this year.
The jobs are part of the healthcare company’s major recruitment drive aimed at doubling its workforce and expand services in the Mid West.
The new positions will be at its €190million state-of-the-art private hospital in Ballysimon, set to open its doors later in 2025.
This significant expansion will include a wide range of roles across several medical and non-medical disciplines, with a particular focus on nursing and specialised medical teams.
As part of the recruitment drive, the hospital is seeking skilled healthcare staff for a variety of positions to support its expanding services and the provision of care to a growing number of patients in the Mid West region.
Jason Kenny, CEO of Bon Secours Hospital Limerick, said that “this new hospital is a major milestone for Bon Secours, and these new staff are vital to ensuring we can continue to provide the exceptional care that is our hallmark”.
“We are looking for skilled professionals in a range of medical and health specialties, including nursing positions for our five theatres and both the surgical and endoscopy suites, a variety of roles associated with interventional cardiology and vascular, with cardiac, neuro and respiratory physiologists to name just a few”.
Vacancies on offer will include a wide range of nursing positions, resident medical officers, resident surgical officers, and resident anaesthetic officers.
The hospital will also expand its teams in radiology, pharmacy, and laboratory sciences and will introduce a new hospital access diagnostic unit for GP referrals allowing for patient admissions.
This recruitment drive marks a pivotal phase in the development of the new hospital, which will provide a broad range of medical services to meet increasing demand.
The new hospital is part of Bon Secours Health System’s €300million investment across Ireland.
