STUDENTS and staff at Coláiste Íde agus Iosef in Abbeyfeale celebrated diversity, world culture, and physical and mental health during its Wellbeing Week.

The week saw a range of activities aimed at celebrating the theme of ‘Many cultures, one community’, focusing on positive mental and physical health.

Events and activities throughout the week included greenway walks, poetry workshops, a celebration of International Women’s Day, CPR training, culinary tasting with local chef Tom Flavin, and a special ‘Student Council Day’ which saw an ice cream van deliver delicious ice treats for all.

The week also saw the return of the school’s Intercultural Day, which showcased the many cultures comrising the school’s community. Positive messages were delivered in English, Irish, Italian, Ukrainian, Polish, Spanish, and Gujarati.

A wide range of cultural arts and dance performances were given, along with tastings of multicultural delicacies and dishes.
