“Communities across Limerick will now be empowered to make the changes they need to their community centres to ensure they are up to a high standard,” Deputy O’Donnell stated.

“I know each and every community has worked so hard to run and maintain their centre, and this funding will go a long way in helping the upkeep of facilities.”

Fianna Fáil TD Willie O’Dea added that the “projects being funded vary greatly depending on the needs identified by the various communities; some will see the fabric of their facilities improved through roof and insulation enhancements; others will see kitchen and toilet upgrades; while others will ensure their buildings are more accessible and energy efficient.”
