ASKEATON Swimming Pool could reopen later in the summer, councillors in the Adare-Rathkeale Municipal District have been told.
At the March area meeting, Fine Gael councillor Adam Teskey asked for an update in relation to the appointment of an operator for the amenity.
Discussions, he was informed, are continuing with the same operator as reported at the February meeting.
“It is envisaged that such discussions will continue until the end of the month. Subject to a satisfactory agreement, the centre could reopen later this summer,” the local authority revealed.
