THE biggest event of the year for Limerick Greyhound Stadium, the Con and Annie Kirby Memorial Stake, burst out the gates this weekend once again.

The opening round of the stake got underway at Limerick Greyhound Stadium with its fair share of excitement, and attracted a big crowd.

The stake is sponsored by JP and Noreen McManus, in memory of Noreen’s parents, Con and Annie Kirby, and offers over €150,000 in prize money and €20,000 to be shared amongst six finalist Limerick GAA Clubs.
