A SERIES of blood donation clinics will be taking place across Limerick over the next week.
The clinics come alongside news that all former residents of the UK are not eligible to give blood in Ireland.
Previously, restrictions had been in place for those who had resided in the UK for a year or more between January 1980 and December 1996.
The local clinics will be taking place at the Castletroy Park Hotel on Monday March 24 (4.20 to 7.40pm), and at Coláiste Iósaef in Kilmallock on March 25 to 27 between 5.50pm and 9.10pm.
