THREE creative Limerick women took home awards at the First Cut! Film Festival on International Women’s Day.
The three directors were lauded for their successes with short films and music videos.
Overall winner of the competition Meghan O’Shaugnessy, who was awarded €5,000 for her music video for the song Swimming Pool by the band Houseplants.
Martha Scanlon received the Spotlight Award for her final year project film at TUS, The Keeper.

Róisín Leavy-Sahin was awarded the Cork International Film Festival award for her short film Slaps, which also won big at Film Track in Limerick.
