Local artist’s ‘deeply personal perspectives’ on trauma explored in new exhibition

The People's Museum in Pery Square.

A NEW exhibition of work by local artist Kayleigh Dodd is now open at the Peopleโ€™s Museum of Limerick.

The LSAD graduateโ€™s exhibition โ€œexplores the aftermath of sexual assault through the emotional and symbolic significance of everyday objectsโ€ and โ€œpresents a deeply personal perspective on the enduring effects of traumaโ€.

Through photography and prose, the artist โ€œinvestigates the complexities of recoveryโ€ by engaging with both her own experiences and the experiences of others to โ€œdismantle the silence surrounding sexual violence, fostering connection, visibility, and understandingโ€.

The exhibition is currently on show at the Peopleโ€™s Museum of Limerick until March 24.
