APPLICATIONS are open now for a fund to help support Limerick landowners in creating wildlife ponds, mini-woodlands, wildlife hedges, mini-orchards, and more exciting plans for nature.
The Hare’s Corner is a biodiversity initiative run by non-profit Burrenbeo Trust, which is now expanding, with the help of Limerick City and County Council, after helping create 1,600 habitats for biodiversity across Clare, Galway, Meath, and Leitrim since 2021.
The aim of the project is to help create habitats that have proven benefits for biodiversity, climate action, and the wellbeing of participants. Applications are open for landowners in Limerick until March 20, with more information on burrenbeo.com/thc.
