Over €1million for Limerick greenways

FIANNA Fáil Minister of State Niall Collins has welcomed an allocation of €1,150,000 in funding for Greenway projects for Limerick.

This allocation will go towards Greenway projects across Limerick including from Rathkeale to Adare and Patrickswell, from Rathkeale to Abbeyfeale, from Patrickswell to Colbert Station and for the UL Loop.

Welcoming the funding, Minister Collins said: “I am thrilled to see this substantial investment in Greenways across Limerick. Greenways make our communities safer and more accessible for both walkers and cyclists and encourage active travel by all.”

“I am confident that these projects will have a positive impact on the health and well-being of our residents. I welcome the continued focus on making active travel a practical option for people.”
