Limerick Mace stores win national awards

-

FOUR County Limerick MACE stores were honoured at the recent MACE Excellence Awards for being simply the best in class.

The stores were honoured for achieving exceptional standards in retailing at a ceremony in Lawlorโ€™s Hotel, in Naas in Count Kildare, and hosted by BWG Foods, owners and operators of the MACE brand in Ireland.

The MACE Excellence Awards, held in association with Solution Management Associates, are only awarded to MACE stores that pass an intensive year-long inspection, including two unannounced audits in addition to an SMA audit, as well as a BWG Foodsโ€™ Safety audit in conjunction with the globally recognised assurance partner, LRQA.

The Limerick stores and staff who received a MACE Excellence Award include: Sinead Roche, Rocheโ€™s MACE Shanagolden; Rocheโ€™s MACE Thomas Street; Rocheโ€™s MACE William Street; and Mairead Mayes, Hayesโ€™ MACE Ballylanders.

Rocheโ€™s MACE Shanagolden was also presented with the MACE Customer Service Store of the Year award on the night.

Congratulating the winners, Keith Crawford, MACE sales director, said: โ€œAs Irelandโ€™s longest serving convenience symbol brand, MACE
retailers have a well-established commitment to outstanding retail
standards and customer service.”

“The recipients of this yearโ€™s MACE Excellence Awards continue to set the benchmark for the brand and marketplace overall.

“Congratulations to Sinead Roche and Mairead Hayes
and their teams for all they do in their local communities. Well done to MACE Shanagolden also for their MACE Customer Service Store of the Year award.โ€

Operated by independent retailers, MACEโ€™s nationwide network includes local community stores as well as forecourt shopping and urban stores, with more than 155 MACE stores located throughout Ireland.
