LIMERICK IN PHOTOS: Displaced people Revived by Art in Limerick

The 'Revived by Art' exhibition features work from artists ranging from seven to 76 years old from Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, and Germany.

THIS WEEK is the last chance to see an exhibition focusing on the displaced people of Ukrainian in Limerick.

The exhibition, titled ‘Revived by Art’, is currently running at the Old Franciscan Friary on Henry Street in Limerick City, and will close on March 14.

It includes work from Ukrainian people living in Limerick, ranging in age from seven to 76, and showcases their talents, resilience, and cultural heritage.

The showcase was brought together by 72-year-old Ukrainian artist and Limerick resident Lyubov Makarenko, who founded the Art UA Limerick group, who meet at St Alphonsus Liguori Redemptorist Church and includes displaced Ukrainians from various regions, as well as a Belarusian, Georgian, and a German people living in Limerick.
