A PROPOSAL from Fine Gael councillor Daniel Butler, made over six months ago, for a sensory garden in the walled garden in Mungret is still under consideration.

That’s what Cllr Butler was told at February’s Metropolitan District meeting of Limerick City and County Council, where it was heard that the proposal has been raised at the local authority’s Senior Capital Group meeting.

“The matter is still under consideration as there is also a request from the Housing Department for residential use of this site,” Senior Engineer Aidan Finn explained.
