PROFESSOR Eoin Devereux will be the featured reader for the First Wednesday Series at The White House Bar this Wednesday March 5. An internationally published poet and academic, Devereux teaches at the University of Limerick’s MA in Creative Writing program, specialising in community engagement.
His poetry has appeared in The Irish Times, Janus Literary Magazine, and The Stony Thursday Book. His latest poem, Pravda, was shortlisted for the 2024 An Post Irish Book Awards. Often described as a political poet, his work reflects working-class life, with Wexford and Limerick as key inspirations.
Held in Limerick’s historic White House Bar, the evening will also feature an open-mic session, celebrating both established and emerging voices.
