
THERE was double delight for Limerick teams in the All-Ireland Schools’ Basketball Finals in Dublin mid-week.
In the Under-19 final, the Aoife Donovan-coached Mungret Community College edged out Calasanctus College (Galway) 40-38.
Mungret Community College: Emer Purtill, Jade You (captain), Anna Nealon, Abbey Nealon, Caoimhe Sweeney, Kay You, Méabh Purtill.

In the Under-16 final, Crescent College Comprehensive were comfortable 55-22 winners over Castleisland (Kerry).
Madelyn Hartigan was very effective at both ends of the court for Crescent and emerged the game’s top scorer on 16 points, picking up the MVP (Most Valuable Player) award for her efforts.
