Anne Gildea

ACCLAIMED comedian and writer Anne Gildea is back with her brand-new show, ‘Further Adventures in Womaning’ – a laugh-out-loud exploration of Irish womanhood through the decades.

Following the phenomenal success of How to Get the Menopause and Enjoy It, Gildea’s latest tour runs from February to December 2025, bringing her razor-sharp wit to audiences across Ireland.

Limerick fans can catch her live at Belltable on Saturday, May 17 for a side-splitting evening of comedy, nostalgia, and unfiltered truth.

In Further Adventures in Womaning, Gildea takes audiences on a whirlwind tour of the changing face of Irish femininity, from the 1970s to today. She hilariously examines the lives of our mothers, the girls we used to be, and the women we’ve become—delving into everything from 18-hour girdles and Housewives of the Year to twerking influencers, condom trains, and spa breaks.

A founding member of the legendary musical-comedy trio The Nualas, Gildea has performed everywhere from New York to Moate, making her mark on stage, television, and radio. A seasoned performer, she has been a fixture in Irish comedy since the late 1980s and is also a celebrated author.
