New board members appointed at Limerick-based Kirby Group

A LIMERICK-BASED engineering group has announced a series of appointments to its board, which came into effect in recent weeks.

Kirby Group Engineering announced four new appointments to its board, across a number of sectors of the firm.

The appointments include the elevation of long-standing team members and new roles for existing board members.

Donal Lynch has been named as Kirby’s group finance director; Mikey Ryan and Ruairí Ryan group operations directors; and Michael Murray as group business development director and board-level director for power and renewables.

Existing board members John Grogan was named as chief operations officer, and Conor O’Brien appointed to the position of chief commercial officer.

Kirby employs over 1,800 people in the life sciences, data centre, industrial, power, and renewables sectors and recorded an annual revenue in 2024 of more than €700million.

Welcoming the new board members, Kirby CEO Henry McCann said: “I have worked alongside each of these colleagues for many years and I have seen the benefit they have brought to Kirby at each stage of their careers. I’d like to welcome our newest board members and look forward to seeing their contribution to the highest level of company leadership.
