AHEAD of next month’s European Championships in the Netherlands, there was a timely win for Sarah Lavin (Emerald AC) in the Women’s 60m hurdles at the National Indoor Athletics Championship at the weekend.
In front of a sold-out Sport Ireland National Arena in Dublin, the two-time Olympian eased through her heat in 8.11 seconds before matching this time in the final (despite a chip of the first hurdle), her seventh such title.
Lavin finished ahead of Laurence O’Toole AC pair Molly Scott, second, and third-placed Arabella Adekoya.
