Limerick signs friendship agreement with Savannah

A FRIENDSHIP agreement has been signed between Limerick and Savanna, Georgia.

The agreement was signed at a ceremony held in the Limerick City and County Council chambers in Dooradoyle.

The Council said โ€œthis historic agreement marks the beginning of a new chapter of collaboration and cultural exchangeโ€.

During the signing, Mayor John Moran, Cllr Dan McSweeney, and Council director general Dr Pat Daly welcomed a delegation from Savannah, including Mayor Van R Johnson II and Savannah World Trade Center president Marty Hogan.

The declaration aims to foster mutual understanding, promote tourism, and encourage economic development through shared initiatives. Mayor Moran saidย โ€œSavannahโ€™s rich past and dynamic present make it a perfect partner for Limerick as we look to the future togetherโ€.
