THE Limerick Literary Festival kicks off this weekend in the city, with a host of events for culture vultures of all varieties.
The festival will run from February 21 to 23 at the Belltable on O’Connell Street, with a full weekend programme featuring novelists Diarmuid Johnson, Anna Abney, Rose Servitova, Karen Fitzgibbon, Christine Dwyer Hickey, and Delphhine Minoui.
Poets Ciarain O’Driscoll, Joe Slade, and Vivienne McKechnie will also be reading selected works as part of a celebration of Limerick’s twinning with Quimper, France.
The festival with by opened with a talk from multi-award-winning Limerick novelist Donal Ryan, recent winner of the An Post Irish Book of the Year award.
