SIX abandoned horses were seized by Limerick City and County Council in two days earlier this month.

That’s according to statements published by the local authority, outlining six horses seized in different locations across the county on February 6 and 7.

Four horses were seized by the Council in the Thomondgate area of Limerick City on February 6 – a one-year-old brown and white male, a brown and white male yearling, a two-year-old chestnut female, and a two-month-old grey male Shetland.

The following day, February 7, a bay male foal and a grey female shetland foal were seized from Reens, Aragh, in the county.
