GARDAÍ have arrested a number of people and seized quantities of suspected drugs in a major operation targeting criminal activity in County Limerick.
The planned Garda operation is targeting persons that Gardaí suspect to be involved in the distribution of drugs in the greater Limerick area.
Several Garda units, supported by armed officers, began searching properties and lands in the village of Castleconnell and other areas, after 7am this Wednesday morning.
A number of people were arrested and quantities of suspected drugs have been seized.

The Garda operation, involving over 50 members of An Garda Síochána, attached to several units across the force, is continuing.
