Moonlight: The Philip Lynott Enigma – Rock-theatre tribute to Thin Lizzy legend at UCH June 24

ROCK-THEATRE production ‘Moonlight: The Philip Lynott Enigma’ will play at University Concert Hall on Tuesday, June 24.

Created by John Merrigan and Danielle Morgan, this honour production is directed by Jason Figgis and stars Peter M. Smith in the role of Phil Lynott.

Moonlight promises to be a powerful and deeply moving production that goes beyond the headlines to explore the early life and rise of the Thin Lizzy frontman from his humble Dublin roots to his global impact as a musician and poet. 

A fusion of live music, theatre, and storytelling, Moonlight features a live band performing Thin Lizzy classics alongside brand-new original music. The show creates an intimate and expansive portrait of Lynott, elevating his place alongside Irish literary greats like Oscar Wilde and Brendan Behan.

Moonlight: The Philip Lynott Enigma explores the early years of Philip Lynott, delving into the Dublin and London music scenes of the late ’60s and early ’70s. This production captures the depth, complexity, and poetic brilliance of Lynott, highlighting his personal struggles, artistic genius, and lasting impact on music and culture.
