AHEAD of next month’s Cheltenham Racing Festival, word is filtering through of some local charity preview nights on Shannonside.
The first of those, presented by BoyleSports, is listed for the Greenmount Suite at Limerick Racecourse this Thursday (February 20).
Hosted by the Racing Post’s David Jennings, the star-studded panel will include David Casey (assistant trainer to Willie Mullins), Upping the Ante’s Johnny Dineen, Gold Cup winning jockeys Robbie Power and Bryan Cooper, and trainer Shark Hanlon.
Proceeds are towards the Injured Jockeys Fund.
On the following Thursday (February 27), Cliona’s Foundation will be the 100 per cent beneficiary from a Preview at The Woodlands Hotel, Adare.
The stellar line-up here – with Jennings again as Chairman – will include Davy Russell, Johnny Dineen, Eric McNamara, Cathal Byrnes and Darragh O’Keefe, along with Charles Byrnes, Davy Mann, TJ Ryan and Mark Landers.
