Renowned country music star Sandy Kelly is set to captivate audiences with a special concert featuring her classic hits and new songs from her latest album, Leaving It All Behind on Saturday February 15 at Belltable. Joining her for this unforgettable evening is very special guest Marc Roberts, alongside Sandy’s live band.
Very few artists can say they have performed with Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, George Hamilton IV, Glen Campbell, Patsy Cline, Jett Williams (Hank William’s daughter), Chet Atkins and Hal Ketchum to name but a few worldwide stars. Sandy Kelly can and her career continues to flourish after all these years.
Ireland’s first lady of country music, Kelly began performing at just three years old with her family’s “Fit-Up” Roadshow. She represented Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1982, won a European Gold Star Award in 1985, and performed at Nashville’s ‘Fan Fare’ in 1986 and 1989.
Her chart-topping hits include Woodcarver and Ring of Fire with Johnny Cash, as well as her best-selling version of Willie Nelson’s Crazy. She hosted her own top-rated RTÉ television show, Sandy, from 1990–1992 and starred in A Musical Tribute to Patsy Cline, making over 500 appearances before launching her own show, Patsy Cline: The Concert.
In October 2023, Sandy released her deeply personal autobiography, In My Own Words, chronicling her life in show business and the challenges of following her family’s entertainment legacy. On this tour, Sandy combines storytelling with a stunning setlist, offering fans a unique glimpse into her journey.
Her album, Leaving It All Behind, was recorded at the iconic Cash Cabin in Nashville with Grammy-winning producer John Carter Cash.
It features reimagined duets with Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson, as well as collaborations with Marty Stuart and Mike Hanrahan.
Marc Roberts, known for his Eurovision success with Mysterious Woman and his celebrated John Denver tribute show, brings his award-winning talent to the stage.
