LIMERICK Celtics moved to 17 wins on the trot and in the Men’s Division One League after a fine 106-80 win over ND Audit Portlaoise Panthers at Crescent College at the weekend.

Celtics showed no signs of wavering in this top-of-the-table clash.

Just three weeks after they had denied their Laois rivals in the President’s National Cup Final, Limerick inflicted, on the North Conference leaders, another defeat.

AJ Williams starred with a 30-point haul.

“We produced one of our best defensive home performances to date against a tough Portlaoise Panthers side. Offensively, I thought we executed really well and our entire squad all contributed to a super win on the night,” Celtics head coach, Tony Hehir said.
