Ryan leads KP to Promised Land

Roger Ryan receives his Man of the Match award from Brian Casey.

ROGER Ryan played the proverbial blinder as Kildimo Pallaskenry (KP) secured a thrilling one-point, 3-8 to 1-13, victory over Tipperary’s Cappawhite in the Munster Junior B Hurling Final at St Ita’s Park, Raheenagh.

Ryan blasted home a memorable hat-trick of goals.

All three majors, the first in the game’s infancy and the other pair in the third quarter, arrived from the stick of inspirational captain Roger Ryan, who also deservedly bagged the Man of the Match accolade.

Seven points from the stick of Aaron O’Donovan were also crucial to the win by the Limerick flagbearers.

Brendan O’Shea-managed KP will next bump into Leinster runners-up Kilrush Askamore (Wexford) in the All-Ireland semi-final.
