INDEPENDENT councillor Maria Donoghue has asked Limerick City and County Council if it has a Road Hierarchy Map in place, and if not, when does it anticipate generating such a map.
She was informed at this month’s Metropolitan District meeting that the Council is in discussion with the Roads Management Office (RMO) regarding the creation of online mapping which would provide this information.
The RMO, councillors were told, are exploring options for a national database which would be available to the public.
The local authority is currently waiting for confirmation of timelines.
