LIMERICK City and County Council has announced that contracts have been signed with Michael Fitzgibbon Contractors for the construction of 11 new residential homes in Cluain Dara in Broadford.
The project, valued at over €3million, will provide two one-bedroom homes, one four-bed, six two-beds, and two three-bed homes, with hopes for completion by Q3 2026.
Existing foul and storm sewers in the area will also be upgraded and extended into the village of Broadford.
Mayor John Moran said of the news that “by increasing the supply of social housing in areas like Broadford, we are not only meeting immediate needs but also ensuring that our county towns and villages remain active and populated.”
