A SHARE in a €330,000 tranch of funding for media events and activities taking place across the country has been awarded to two local Limerick film festivals.
The Catalyst International Film Festival and the Fresh International Film Festival, both held annually in Limerick, were awarded a share of the pot under the Sponsorship Scheme by Coimisiún na Meán.
32 applicants were provided funding in this year’s scheme, aimed at supporting media sector events and activities that help ensure a diverse and creative media landscape in Ireland.
Others awarded in the funding round include the Limerick-founded GORM Media, the Galway Film Fleadh, and the Dublin International Film Festival.
