BusConnects Limerick network to be rolled out over next two years, Council told

Limerick Labour Party councillor Elena Secas.

LABOUR Party councillor Elena Secas has asked Limerick City and County Council for an outline of the plans to implement the BusConnects Limerick Network in the next 12 months.

Cllr Secas was informed at January’s Metropolitan District meeting that the implementation of the improved services under BusConnects Network Redesign are to be delivered by Bus Eireann and the National Transport Authority (NTA).

“These improved services are expected to be made effective on a phased basis over the next two years,” said Hugh McGrath of the Council’s Transportation and Mobility Directorate.

“Other parts of the BusConnects programme, like simple fares, will be delivered with the new bus network.”
