LIMERICK ranks 17th in Ireland for electric vehicle (EV) charging points, new data has found.
The data, compiled by Geotab, shows that Limerick ranks 17th out of 26 counties for the amount of EV chargers compared to the amount of EVs sold.
According to the data, Limerick has 131 public EV chargers, compared to 1,954 electric vehicles that have been bought in the county over the last 10 years.
These figures mean that in Limerick there are 15 EVs for every available public charger.
Kerry topped the table, with one EV charger for every six cars, while Longford was second, with 5.93 chargers for every EV.
