
CLASSICAL music lovers are in for a treat as the University Concert Hall announces the return of the Limerick Classical Concert Series.ย
Presented by Liz Nolan of RTร lyric fm, the series will feature three world-class performances from some of Irelandโs most acclaimed classical artists.
The series opens on Sunday, February 9 with an enchanting concert by pianist Michael McHale and clarinettist Michael Collins.ย
Their programme includes Brahmsโ Clarinet Sonata No. 1, Weberโs Grand Duo Concertante, Beethovenโs iconic Moonlight Sonata, Poulencโs Clarinet Sonata, and Rhapsodos by Abbie Betinis.ย
On Sunday, March 9 internationally renowned soprano Celine Byrne takes the stage for a breathtaking performance.ย
Audiences can expect beloved pieces such as Nella Fantasia, O Mio Babbino Caro, and Ave Maria, accompanied by David Munro (piano), Nicole Hudson (violin), and Siobhan Lynch (cello).ย
The series concludes on Sunday, March 30 with an unforgettable performance by the ConTempo Quartet. Their programme features Mozartโs String Quartet in D minor K.421, Rhona Clarkeโs Pas de Quatre, and Beethovenโs String Quartet in E minor Op.59 No.2.
