Crime Prevention Officer for Limerick, Sergeant Michelle O’Halloran.

GARDAÍ in Bruff, County Limerick, are investigating following the theft of a motorcycle, in which the owner was hijacked by at least three people and forced to hand over the bike.

Crime Prevention Officer at Henry Street Garda Station, Sergeant Michelle O’Halloran, said that on the night of Monday January 20, at around 9pm, at Deerpark in Pallasgreen, County Limerick, the young owner of a motorcycle was followed and forced to stop by suspects in three vehicles.

The vehicles were a 2012 blue Toyota, a 2017 white Toyota, and a 2016 silver Toyota.

“The victim was then threatened with implements and had to hand over his motorcycle which was then driven away,” Sergeant O’Halloran said.

The Crime Prevention Officer said that Gardaí in Bruff are looking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects, their vehicles, and the route taken by the motorcycle after it was stolen.

She added that the motorbike is a black 232 L Honda CB125F.

“These bikes are small and suitable to people starting out as learners using motorcycles. If you type Honda CB125F into Google, an image of similar bikes will appear, which may assist listeners in recalling if they saw the motorcycle,” Sergeant O’Halloran said.

Gardaí in Bruff are asking anyone who was in or near Pallasgreen on night of the incident who may have dashcam footage and who may have noticed a motorcycle or vehicles acting suspiciously to contact them on 061 382 940 or through the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111.
