Works on the Kings Island Flood Relief Scheme are ongoing.

WORKS on the Kings Island Flood Relief Scheme are still ongoing, with the contractor, Ward and Burke, issuing a fresh update this past week.

The developer said that archaeological testing has begun around Merchant’s Quay and King John’s Castle.

Permanent fencing at St Mary’s Park is expected to be finished this week, with construction of the haul road and foul sewer diversion still ongoing.

Sewage diversion works and construction of a new embankment by the Lee Estate are still ongoing, while the Riverbank walkway by the Kings Island Community Centre is to be closed from January 20 “until further notice”, the developer said.
