SPORTS clubs across Limerick have been reminded that the deadline for the Texaco Support for Sport initiative is fast approaching.
Former Munster rugby player Donncha O’Callaghan has been drafted in to remind clubs across the Treaty County that the deadline for applications in January 31, 2025.
Now in its fifth year, the initiative has seen €20,000 donated to clubs across Limerick, including Fedamore GAA Club (2021), Limerick Cricket Club, Adare (2022), Hospital Tennis Club (2023) and Shannonside Football Club (2024), all getting €5,000 from the project.
Mr O’Callaghan said that “entry is open to all clubs irrespective of sporting discipline, size, membership, age, cultural appeal, or gender”.
